LADIES' SPORTS

The swimming sports held in th© Borough Baths on Wednesday afternoon under the auspices of the Hawera Ladies' Amateur Swimming Club were well attended, and an enjoyable afternoon was spent. Close finishes resulted in many of the events. Messrs Kimbell, Salmon, and Kean officiated as judges; Mr Mahoney carried out the duties of handicapper and 6tarter; while Mr Kyne was timekeeper. The secretarial duties were carried out by Mrs O'Connor. The following are the results:—
