DANNEVIRKE, March 4. The Autumn meeting of the Dannevirke Racing Club opened to-day in fine weather. There was a large.attendance, and the course was in splendid order. The hew grandstand was declared open by the president, Mr G. Hunter. Results :—

Maiden.—Montano 1, Mystified 2, New York 3. Scratched: Holywell, Improve, Miss Lupin, Contra Ngarua, Hapingo, Janitor, and Waimarino. Won by a neck. Time, 56seo. Tahorite Hack—Firing Line 1, Merry Jack 2, Combustion 3. No time taken. Nursery Handicap.-^-Tavistock 1, Indigo 2, La Favorite 3. Time, 55 2-ssec.
