.The Queenslanders, who had scored 124 in their first innings, made 114 in their second effort. Sandman took five wickets for 41 runs.

The match was resumed in fine warm weather, before a small attendance. The wicket was good Robinson, Taylor, Patrick" and Bennett all did well for New Zealand, atd left Queensland 126 -to win in their second innings. Queensland's innings started disastrously. Fennelly was clean bowled by Robinson's first ball. Farquhar anil Howe succumbed to Reese, and three wickets were down for. seven runs Prout and Marshall checked the rout and the fourth wicket fell at 51, but Marshall still played confidently and redeemed the innings from absolute failure. The fielding was very good Hickmott being particularly brilliant. Ihe bowling was difficult. - At 71 the fifth wicket fell. Two others went down before the score increased Sandman securing three wickets within a few minutes. Queensland's chances of winning were considerably diminished by the fine fieTding of the visitors.
