DA VINCI'S MASTERPIECE RESTORED.
ROME, Dec. 21. Leonardo da Vinci's famous picture "La Gioconda," popularly known as the Mona Lisa, which was recently recovered in the house of a man named Perifrgia, has been handed over to the French Embassy after being inspected by the King.
A painter named Vaneella'tti "has been arrested in Paris on a charge of being an accomplice of Perugia in the theft of the Mona Lisa.
