RICHEST HEIRESS IN BERLIN.

She Z the otiiy child Fritz Yon FrKKliaender Fuld,- a .most succeesful business man, who has the honor of paying more income tax than any other Berlin- citizen, though he is run very close by two others. His father was the founder ofa firm which dealt in coals, but^ during tiuf commercial depression of 40 years ago he lost all his money. A few years later his son Fritz took ever the management of the business and seized the opportunity oftered bj the rising price of coai and the impulse given to industry, and a few years after commencing his career was making an income of £50,000 a year. He extended his influence and increased his income by. investing in various successful coal, iron, and coke industries,, and is to-day, to mention only hwi more' important offices, director of the Deutsche Bank, of the Shantung Miriiner Company, and of the Allgemeine Electricitaets Gesellschaft, and a member of the Central Committee of the Imperial Bank. His fatheiy who had s attached his wife's name to his own on his marriage, was raised to the Prussian nobility in the year 1906. He and his wife are of Jewish extraction, but have become Christians. He is said to be worth £2,000,----000, and to have an income of £200,000 a. year. It is stated that Mr Freeman Mitfbrd has been for some years in a Hamburg banking house, and that his position there has enabled him to come into close touch with leading men in German commercial and industrial circles.—Berlin correspondent of the Daily Chronicle.
