■I>ativinerie, an officer <>f health, has been arrested at Toulouse in connection with the disappearance of a man named Foyt, a gardener. According to the police, Lauyinerie paid unwelcome attentions to Foyt's daughter. He drugged the father and tried .to take advantage of the,girl, who fled to the police. The latter believe that, finding the drug proved fatal, Lauvinerie buried or threw Foyt's body into the river. Lauvienerie is of miserly habits. A search of his house discovered £44.0H0 worth of securities hidde^i in a bundle of rage. >, .
