DIVORCE DECREE GRANTED

LONDON, Dec. 20. Mary Agnes Vereker has been granted a decree nisi with costs on the grounds of her husband's cruelty and adultery with a housemaid. The petitioner alleged that Major Vereker objected to her sport and bridge playing and also, to her friends. When at their country house at Clivedon he showed violent temper and retired at periods to a tower room, where he drew a skull and cross bones, under which he wrote reflections on her chastity. The wife's friends' remarks written in the visiting book disclosed a low moral tone.
