LIEUT. FOERSTNER SENTENCED

At the oourtmartial at Sfrasburg, Lieut. , Foerstner tried- to excuse himself for slashing a shoemaker with his sword, on the ground that the man ■was using insulting remarks and endeavoring^ to strike him and another officer. Foerstner claimed that it was a, soldier's duty to act vigorously against civilians when they were violent. The court sentenced him to 43 -days' imprisonment. i. ■ ■ . .
