Macarthy: All Saints' Children's Home, Palmerston North. £100; Young Women's Christian Association, £100; Wellington Ladies' Christian Association, £50; Alexandra Home for Friendless Woman, £100; Levin Memorial Home for Girls, £100; Wellington Society for the Relief of the Aged Needy, £120; Wellington Presbyterian Orphanage and Social Service Association, £190; Wanganui Orphanage, £70; Wellington Society for the Protection of Women anS Children, £50; the Missions to Seamen (Wellington branch), £100; Wellington Hospital Convalescent Home, £50: Society for the Promotion of the Health of Women and Children, £200; St. John's Ambulance Association, £50; St. Mary's Home, £100; Wellington Boys' Institute, £100; Richmond Free Kindergartens. £100; District Nursing Guild of St. John, Wellington, £50; Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society, £50; Wellington Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, £100; St, Joseph's Orphanage, Upper Hutt, £250; total, £2030. It was also resolved to favorably consider grants of £2000 to Victoria College and £500 to St. Patrick's College, in each case for some purpose connected with the institution and associated with the name of Mr Macarthy, the scheme to be submitted to and approved by the board.
