A NEW TRIAL
SYDNEY, Dec. 19
The High Court has granted Brown, a settler who, on July 31 was convicted of having Poliee^Sergeant Hickey by shooting him, a new trial. The chief ground of the High Court's decision is that the Judge at the trial ■was in error in telling the jury that it was not likely to find any other verdict -than one of guilty or not guilty.
