Players and supporters of the game will be sorry to learn that there has been difficulty in getting teams of Wellington cricketers to come up during Christmas week. Mr Blamires has word from Mr A. A. George that he will bring up. a team later in the-sea-son. ,
It is hoped that a match on the lines of the postponed Town v Country match will be played on Boxing Day! In connection with the visit of the Australian team to New Zealand, which is being arranged by Mr A. Sims, a match has been offered to South Taranaki on the basis of a minimum guarantee of £50. The secretary of the Association 'is advised that it will be ne^ cessary to advise the Cricket Council by December 31 if the offer is accepted, as the itinerary of the tour will be arranged at once.
