GREYMOUTH, Dec. 19. lhe new union's registration has been accepted.. The president of the old union lias resigned. All the men employed at the s.s. Holmdale are members of the old union, and it is understood the old union will test the legality of the new, union's registrat«>n. the old union's registration under the Arbitration Act not having been previously cancelled.

About 600. specials have been enrolled and officers appointed. It is understood that 25 regular police left Wellington under Sub-Inspector McKinnon for Westport, to reach there to-day.
