A CHILD SUFOCATED.

BY TELEGBAPH —PKESB ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Dec. 18. Shortly before eleven o'clock this morning, Mrs F. Postlewaite, of Avon^ dale, found her infant boy, who had been put to, sleep in a cot, lying dead with nis head hanging through the oars of the cot. Death was apparently due to suffocation. It is surmised that the child got his head through: the bars and, being unable to withdraw it, had got into such a position that suffocation ensued.
