FIRES.
BRISBANE, Dec. 17. The power house at the Mount Morgan mine was destroyed by fire, and all work will be practically stopped for ten days. .
The store premises of the New Zealand Loan Company at Rockhampton were completely gutted by fire and the stock destroyed. They were insured for £9000, which about covers the loss.
