STRIKE RIOTS IN AMERICA
WASHINGTON, Dec. 16. There were, serious riots during a strike of factory hands at St. Louis. Mothers with children in their arms protected the'strikers while the, latter a ssaulted the > police, who were powerless to use their clubs. After reinforcements arrived the police attacked the women, scattering them and arresting 70 demonstrators.
