TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day: "Indications are for variable breezes, moderate easterly prevailing; weather will prove thick and foggy, with rain and occasional squalls; barometer unsteady,-, with falling tendency; rough seas and poor tides ,off shore."
