STRIKES AND SHIPPING.
LONDON, Dec. 8. In view of the Frequency of strike*, the International Shipping Federation has prepared new clauses; intended to be embodied in all bills of lading, with the purpose of conferring extended powers upon shipowners and'enabling them to, act in the. interest: of cargo-owners equally with tliemeelves, the expenses incurred to fall jointly upon the owners of the ship and H upon the owners of cargo.
