BENEVOLENT NEUTRALITY
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. VIENNA, Dec. 9.
A striking article in the Neueswiener suggests that a convention be fixed for a number of years to secure a benevolent neutrality between Great Britain and Austria-Hungary in the event of any Mediterranean conflict. The additional Austro-Hungarian navy will soon equal the British fleet in the Mediterranean, hence an agreement could be based on - equal mutual value, AustrtaHungary's maritime interests to consist of guaranteeing the safety of the Adriatic, with free passage through the Straits.
