NEW SOUTH WALES ELECTIONS.
LIBERAL PROSPECTS GOOD
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT,
SYDNEY, Dec. 8: Mr Hall, a Minister, has dropped into second place behind the Liberal candidate for the Eatnore electorate, but a .small uncounted postal vote is insuffici- • -eht to avert a second ballot. The second Ivillots are fixed for December 13 in the • -city and December -23 in the country. It is now possible, to state that the Labor Party has yon or has practically . yon 25 seats, the Liberals 32, and the Independents one- This leaves eight . seats in doubt on the first ballot," and 14 requiring al'second ballot. Of 22 seats which are doubtful, the Liberals are leading in 14 and the Labor Party insight. Several contests ar? so close that the "absent" vote, though small, is likely to prove the deciding " factor. .'•_-, The Labor Party looks like losing Ashburnham, Bingara, and Macquarie. The official .no-license figures are not .yet available.
