Omyo is a massive horse, standing 17 bands, splenmdly proportioned all over, with the beil of legs and feet, hair of the finest quality, and is perfect in action. Ribs well Bprung, powerful quarters, superior bone, and showing all th« type and character of the modern Clydesdale. Omyo needs no embellishment in the' way of word-painting. On breeding lines his pedigree shows the most valuable strains to be found in the Scottish Clydesdale Stud Book. He war bred by Robert Osborne, Esq., Morton Mains, Thornhill, afterwards passing into the hands ol James Kflpatrick, Esq., Craigie Mains, Kilmarnock, who disposed of the colt to A. Alexander, y Esq., Moturoa, from whom the' present owner •' purchased. Being a late foal (July .9. 1908} 1 Omyo was not shown at home. Oyatna (13118-, Vol. XXXIII., the sire of Omyo. was bred by Messrs D. and R. Scott, Boghead, I Girvan, his sire being the noted Baron's Pride horse Baronson (10S87KVol. XXIII. His dam to Scottish Princess (12916), Vol. XIX., by Princ* of Cathcart (8915), Vol. XIII. Oyams taw been a successful horse in the show rings, besides being a great breeding sire, his nam«: being always high up in the yearly, winning lists. He is a holder of the Cawdor Cup, th* highest honor at the Clydesdale , shows in Scot* land, gaining this distinction as a two-year-old^ In the same year he won in his classes at the Glasgow Stallion Show and also at Eilmarnock.
