THE SITUATION IN PATEA.

The situation, so far as the local grading works are concerned, has (says the Patea Press) been relieved somewhat by the railing of the produce to Wellington, 2000 cases of cheese being sent away on Thursday night and 1400 being loaded on the Kapuni, which left on Friday morning. Men are signing on for the other boats to-day, and these will go forward as soon as the crews are complete.
