LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.

.WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. ihe Legislative Council met at 2 30 SIR W. HALL-JONES. The Hon. Sir William Hall-Jones Uras sworn in as a member of the Council, and was congratulated upon his appointment by members. Sir W. Hall-Jones thanked the hon members for their kindly welcome He iioped and believed that he could be or service to the Coimcil in assisting to promote the welfare of the Dominion THE ARCHITECTS BILL. The Council then went into Committee on the New Zealand Institute of Architects Bill, which was passed without amendment, and subsequently read a third time and passed.
