PRIME MINISTER- ANTICIPATES
IMPROVEMENT.
£By Telegraph—Special to Star.] WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. Replying to Mr Wilkinson (Egmont), who urged the Government, in view -of serious complaints from the High Commissionerj to co-operate with the dairy companies to secure an improvement in the quality of New Zealand cheese exported, the prime Minister states that the necessity is recognised -toy (directorates of the dairy companies and also by the Government, and the matter has been recently gone into at the annual meetings of these companies. There is, adds Mr Massey, every reason to believe that as a result the quality of this Reason's output will show a considerable advance. The officers of the Agricultural Department co-operate fully with the dairy companies by consultation with directors, instruction at factories, and inspection at the suppliers' farms, as far as the number of snen available will allow, and the Government will spare no effort to facilitate the object in view. ,
