NEGROES WRECK A GAOL.
(Received Oct. 8, 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 7. During race riots at the village of Romeo, negroes wrecked a gaol in order to release one of their number. The deputies engaged in a pitched battle, in which -one negro was killed and many inujred. Further outbreaks are feared.
