A ballot of six hundred thousand resulted in a substantial majority in favor of the Miners' Registration taking political action in accordance with the Trades Union Act. ,The levy represents £30,000 annually for election purposes. The Dublin employers state that Sir G. Askwith's scheme offers no effective solution.
