LONDON MISSIONARY SOCIETY.
(Received Sept. 8, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON. Sept. 7: Owing to a deficiency of £71,483, the London Missionary Society's directors have decided to withdraw, some of the missionaries and stop furloughs. To avoid the adoption of such steps a campaign is being opened to raise funds and to" lay the real situation before the churches. Many members consider drastic proposals will not be needed.
