FAILURE OF A PLAY.
LONDON, Sept. 6. Sir J. M. Barry's new comedy entitled "The Adored One," was staged at the Duke of York's Theatre. It seemed perfect until half-way thorngh, and then collapsed, through feebleness, groans drowning the applause as the curtain fell.
