DISPUTED CHAFF DEAL.

GISBORNE, Sept. 5. At the Supreme Court Corry and Co., of Blenheim, appealed against the decision of the magistrate in awarding Herbert Stephen Liddell £140 damages in respect to a chaff deal. Appellants contended that th c contract having been made with an infant (the respondent being under 21 years of age) was null and void, and also that the damages assessed were excessive. After argument judgment was reserved.
