A ROBBER'S END.
VANCOUVER, Sept. 1. The death has occurred in orison zl ■Georgia of a man named Bell, a -miner, and the most notorious train-robber and gaol-breaker in North America. J-or fifty years he was engaged in robbing trains, and was frequently captured. He was imprisoned for life, but managed to escape many years ago. He partooirih the Australian rushes, •and was prominent around Coolgardie. He was afterwards engaged in the slave trade in Turkey. He was never guilty of violence, even when he could thus Sain his freedom. He was known to have done many acts of benevolence, ■and was w Tell educated. He has often been reported as dead, and read his •obituary notices in the newspapers with great amusement.
