BRITISH SCHOONER WRECKED.
NEW YORK, Sept. 4. ISews of the total loss of the British schooner Mersey, near the Isle of Pines, South Cuba, has been received. ±ne vessel drifted on the beach and £ sank. The crew were saved after ■ -escaping the attacks of the San Bias :«* Indians, who attempted to loot the schooner.
