MELBOURNE, Sept 4. Victoria- beat South Australia and won the interstate championship by six matches to one. Soutar (New bouth Wales) won the £25 purse for professionals, Clements (of Christchurch) was fifth.
The TVanganui and West Coast championship meeting arid handicap tournament will take place on September 12, 13 and 15. Entries close on Monday, September 8. Programmes may be obtained from the secretary, J. Harold, W anganui.
