A meeting of the general committee was held on Saturday, there being present: Messrs Lysaght (chair), Nalder, Blair, : .Wren, Exley, Hunter (2), Hawken, Winks, Hamerton, .S: C. Toriks, Washer, and Bremer. The reports of the Ground and Finance Committees were confirmed the sum. of £350 being allocated' for improvements to the grounds this season The principal work will Be the erection of further horse stalls and the completion of an iron fence to the end of the rum lane, nevr gates and turn--sales at the. front entrance, about 35 further bull pens to be covered in painting, and ether work. ' Show dates were fixed for the 26th and 2/th November. '. Mr Treweek was appointed delegate to represent the Association at the biennial conference of agricultural societies to be held in Wellington in July. ' It was resolved to interview the Park Committee with reference to beautifying the grounds. ■ £ er? ey Breeders' Association wr«+-e offering a silver trophy valued at hve guineas for the best two femalesm milk, and the secretary's action in accepting; was confirmed
