A very pleasant function was given by Mr and Mrs H. Hodge in the Coronation Hall on Friday night, the occasion being to celebrate the 21st birthday of _ their twin daughters. There were visitors present from all parts eoween Wanganui and Manaia, showing the esteem in which the family is held. Dancing was indulged in by the younger members of the party, and Messrs Gould and Hodge Bros, made very efficient M.C.'s., seeing to the visitors with unfailing courtesy. The older people found cards the most attractive. During the evening songs and recitations were given by Miss Hodge, Miss Bretherton and Mr Ryan,- making the evening one of the most enjoyable of the season.
