DUNEDIN, June 4
The Dunedin Jockey Club's winter meeting was concluded to-day in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance. A sum of £17,289 was put through the totalisator, making a total for the meeting of £34,343, as against £30,080 10s last year. Results:- — - Fairfield Hurdles.—Red Earl, 1.; Ribstone Pippin, 2; Redwing, 3. Silverstream Handicap: — Robert Bell, 1; Fitzosborne, 2; Vid, 3. Provincial Handicap.—Mosgiel, 1; Gapon, 2; Martian Maid, 3. Wingatui Steeplechase.—Gold Pin, 1; Sportsman, 2; Donation, 3. Waironga Handicap.—Buff Gauntlet, 1; Czar Kolohql, 2; Sea King, 3. Clarendon Handicap.—Robert Bell, 1; Otakeho, 2; Ngapuna, 3. Invermay Welter.—Aphaea, 1; Mosgiel, 2; Wakehua, 3.
