Last Friday night .the first euchre party of the season Avas held in the AAvatuna Hall, Avhen there Avas a fair attendance. Mrs Robertson carried off the ladies' prize, and Mr Robertson that for the men. Supper Avas served round, after which a very enjoyable dance was held, the music' being' supplied by Miss Patterson and Mrs Benton. These euchre parties are to be hold Aveekiy for one month, and then fortnightly, Avhen Te Kiri start their social eA'enings.

The AAvat-una dairy factory started making butter last Friday instead of cheese.
