(Received April 24, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 23. Lillian Forrester has been sentenced •to three months, and Evelyn Manesta ±0 one month, for damaging pictures at -Manchester. As they were unable to find sureties to keep the peace, they were ordered a further six and four months respectively. The Judge said ihat if the law. allowed he would send ±hem round the world in a sailing ship. [The persons sentenced are evidently two of those who were referred to in the following message, dated London, April 4. Suffragettes entered the Manchester Art Gallery and smashed the glass of thirteen pictures. G. F. Watts's "Evening Prayer" was damaged by a hammer. Three arrests Mere ■made.]
