SENT TO PRISON.

LONDON, April 12. Two directors and the general manager of the defunct Bank of Burmah, India, have been tried at Bombay, found guilty of cheating, and sentenced to two years' imprisonment each. The bank commenced business, sent out alluring balance-sheets, and offered a high rate of interest, these inducements attracting large deposits. The b&lance-sheets were false, and one-third of the assets were advanced to another firm in which the directors were interested against securities which were of insignificant value.
