PRIVATE CONFERENCE.
- SYDNEY, April 23. A deputation representing the southern and northern coal miners, the Sydney and Newcastle Coal Lumpers' Union, and the Seamen's Union, intervie wed Mr McGowen and Mv Carmiehael on the colliery troubles. It is understood tbat important proposals were submitted. Mr McGowen announced that it had bees agreed not to divulge the proceedings.
