DEATH SENTENCE.
3Y CABLE—tKESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT. SYDNEY, April 23. Lindsay has been sentenced to death for the murder of Mrs Lloyd at Copmanhurst. It was reported from Sydney on January 13 that a shocking tragedy h^ad occurred at Copmanhurst. Mrs Lloyd, wife of a farmer, had admonished an ex-State boy named Lindsay, twenty years of age, whereupon he shot her dead. The crime occurred when the woman was going milking at 4 o'clock in the morning. Lindsay dragged the body to the house, and then wrote to his sister, who is living in Sydney: "Just shot Mrs Lloyd dead. Pray God forgive me." He then went to a neighbor's house and related the occurrence, on his way to surrender to the police, when he was arrested.
