ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE.

THE WORLD'S PICTURES

There was a large. attendance at the Opera House on Wednesday Evening, when the programme found favor with those present. A film showing the making of pencils gave a good idea of the many processes to which the component parts of the everyday lead-pencil have to be subjected before the finished article is turned out; and among the topical subjects, a very interesting on© dealt with the 1912 Henley Regatta r ' the views of which included one of the King and Queen arriving in the royal barge. The drama "Nemesis," albeit short and somewhat sketchy, was, as is always the ease with Vitagraph production; while a comedy, "A Dash Through the Clouds," by the equally proficient Biograph Company, was very amusing. It may be mentioned that Mr Philip Parmalee, the airman, who appears "in this film' was killed shortly after the picture was taken. The rest of the programme was also good, as was the Lyric Orrh.es-' tra's music. The programme will be repeated to-night.
