WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. The executive committee of the Wellington Rifle Association decided tonight on a programme for a New Year's meeting, to he held at Trentham on January 1 and 2. The biggest prize-list ever attempted for local shooting has been drawn up, £300 in cash prizes being offered. Six matches will be fired, each with 37 prizes, of £35 cash value, one match for ten shots at 300, 500, GOO, 800, and 900 yards, and one at a thousand yards. In the championship aggregate £56 will be given, the first prize being £15, the second £10, and the third £5. There will be a teams match for senior and junior teams, and special matches for senior cadets. Numerous trophies have been promised. Entries are expected from all parts of New Zealand.
