FARMERS' UNION LAND AGENCY

PAHIATUA, Sep. 4. A special meeting o f the Pahiatua central branch of the Now Zealand Farmers' Union was held here yesterday for the purpose of considering the advisability of the sale and exchange of farming properties beinp; conducted through the local branch of the Union. The meeting was largolv attended and tho pronosal was heartily endorsed. A committee was set up to draw up a scheme, and it is proposed to extend the movement by setting other branches to work in with the Union. The m^otinrr condemned tlm Land A^nts Bill now before Parliament, holnino; that it would create a monopoly nnd that the Pill wns simply in the interests of the big land agents.
