(Received Sep. 4, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sep. 4. The Gas Enquiry Board's report was laid before.Parliament. It recommends 4s per thousand feet as the standard rate for gas. The present charge is 4s 7d The standard should be dependent on alO per cent, dividend. If a lower divdiend is accepted the company should be allowed to charge more, every penny alteration in the price being equal to a quarter per cent, dividend. If the dividend is accepted the company should per 1000 ft. of gas would be 3s lid. A model Bill was attached to the report and outlines comprehensive legislation on the question.
