WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed at 12.45 p.m. to-day: Strong south-easterly winds with stormy weather may be expected; heavy rain, and rivers rising; glass fall, but rise after 1G hours; heavy sea; moderate increasing tides.
