Kelleway and Matthews continued their stand, adding thirty more before they were separated. The next three wickets added nothing, then Emery and Whitty made a stand, the ninth man adding fifteen. Emery and [Webster added twenty-two for the last wicket. Kelleway was in for 137 minutes, and played a faultless innings. Matthews was strong on the leg side, and Emery made some good drives, scoring four fours and a three from consecutive balls off Forester. The century appeared in 145 minutes, and the innings lasted 165. minutes. The innings was finished in an hour to-day. The Derbyshire team made a poor stand, Matthews proving destructive. Morton alone made any showing. He batted for a hundred minutes. Humphries gave a fair display. The innings lasted 130 minutes.
