A DROWNING ACCIDENT.
At the inquest on Lionel Dorney, a fireman of the Taviuni, drowned in the Buller river on July 8, a verdict of accidentally drowned while intoxicated was returner]. The coroner commented ■strongly on the practice of supplying liquor to drunken sailors.
