SYDNEY, July 14. _ At the V.R.C. Grand National meeting the principal events resulted as follows :—

Douttagalla Hurdle Handicap.—Bullawarra, 1; Uxbridge, 2; Forest Prince, 3. Time, 4.151. Grand National Steeplechase.—Guncap, 1; United Kingdom, 2; Scrutineer, 3. Only seven horses finished, the balanse falling. Four jockeys were slightly injured. The time, 6.2*83, established a, record for the race.

In the Douttagalla Hurdle Race, Pleasant Ways fell and broke his neck.
