The Lorimer case is again before the Senate. Lively scenes occurred when an itocusatioii or' graft was preierred against the Senator.
The Senate has declared Mr Lorimer's election invalid, in consequence of his havmg obtained vo+es by means of corrupt methods and practices. Lorimer, it was proved, had used extensive bribery, but Congress could not be induced to acH. deferring the question month ■ after month.
