CINDERELLA SKATING CARNIVAL

At the Dominion! Skating Rink on Friday levelling next a plain and fancy dress Cinderella skating carnival will b<-> heffl in aid «f the funds &£ the Park Tennis Club. Tlffcre will be special competitisms, some of a decidedly humorous character, for both ladies and gentlemen. From 7.80 to 8.30 the floor will be reserved for children, and the juniors will al^.o be allowed to remain on the floor till 10 o'clock. There will be races and competitions for the children also.

TKe Queen is a firm believer in all children* being taught to dance so soon as they are of a suitable age, not only for the sake of the art itself, butr oil account of the beneficial effect that she considers it has fupon their health and Rarriage. Princess Mary is quite a skilful waltzer, as are the Prinoe of AA 7ales and Prince Albert. Even little Prince John is now to receive his first lessons in dancing. Children's balls, therefore, at Buckingham Palace af\d AAlndsoi Castle are likely to be rather frequent in +he future. Tlie Queen, however, realises the importance of boys and fjrls not over +iri*ig themselves on these o-ocnsions. and she considers that none of theso "balls should last for more than a. couple of hours or so at the outside. She is herself still very fond of a waltz, though this is really the only mn'^rn dance that appeals to her. King Georce, on the other hand, has almost lost his former' liking for the "ballroom.
