At Westfield, Auckland, on Wednesday, July 10. the fat cattle yarded numbered 419. There was steady demand Choice fat ox brought to £] 8s 6d prime £1 6s 6d to £1 7s 6d, cow and heifer £1 to £1 5s per 1001b. steers £7 7p 6d to £13 12s 6d, cows £4 15s to £10 i<Js. Oalves: Runners brought £4 5s to £5 9s; heavy calves. £3 5s to £4 • choice suckers, £3 to £3 ss; small. £1 os to £1 18s; fresh dropoed, 3s to *18s •Sheep: Prime heavy wethers, £1 3s to £1 os 3d; medium to heavy, 19s to £1 Is; unfinished, 15s 6d to 17s 9d; first quality heavy ewes, 18s to £] Is; 1551 were sold. Rest heavy lambs brought 15s to l'/s; lighter. 12s 6d to 14s- small 9s 6d to lis 6d; 398 were sold. There was an average entry of pigs. Choppers brought £3 14s to £4 3s; baconers, £2 15s to £3 10s; large oorkers. £2 6s to £2 13s; lighter, £1 12s to £2 3s; slips 18s to £1 os: weaners, 10s 6d to 16s' 1.01 were sold.
